1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using My Bible Journey (“the App”; it may also appear as “Bible Journey”), including our mobile app and our website, mybiblejourney.co, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

My Bible Journey is a Christian educational platform that provides:

• Scripture-grounded Bible search and study tools, including AI-generated guidance (see Section 6.3)
• Private reflections, a prayer journal, and guided journeys
• Circles for sharing how you are doing with friends you connect with
• Liturgical calendar and daily readings
• Sunday School lessons for children, and child profiles that parents create and manage
• Community Bible study and discussions
• Coloring pages and educational activities
• Premium subscription features

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account in the mobile app using email and password or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Children under 13 may not create their own account. A parent or guardian may create a child profile for a child under 13 from their own account; a child profile has no login of its own, never shows advertisements, and is the parent's responsibility. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect for child profiles and how parents can have them changed or deleted.

3.3 Account Security

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions provide access to exclusive features including:

• Unlimited Scripture-grounded Bible search
• Advanced study tools
• Coloring page generation
• Ad-free experience
• Priority support

4.2 Billing

Subscriptions bought in the mobile app are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their terms of service, and we use RevenueCat to manage them across platforms. Subscriptions are no longer sold on our website.

4.3 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage an in-app subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it separately.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds for in-app subscriptions are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Contact the platform directly for those refund requests; we cannot issue them ourselves. For subscriptions bought on our website, contact us at support@mybiblejourney.co.

4.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will apply to new subscriptions and renewals after you've been notified. Existing subscriptions will be honored at the original price for the current billing period.

5. User Content and Conduct

5.1 Content You Post

You may post content including community interpretations, prayer requests, and notes you share with your Circle. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App. Community interpretations and prayer requests you publish may remain visible after you delete your account, without a link to your account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

5.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to post content that:

• Is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Promotes illegal activities
• Contains explicit sexual content
• Impersonates another person or entity
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Violates the privacy of others

5.3 Moderation

Community interpretations are reviewed before they are published, and you can report a published interpretation from within the App. We reserve the right to review, moderate, and remove any content that violates these terms. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5.4 Community Guidelines

My Bible Journey is a Christian community. We expect respectful, edifying discussions that honor biblical principles. While theological diversity is welcome, content must be presented with grace and charity.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The App, including its design, features, and original content, is owned by My Bible Journey and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

6.2 Bible Text

We primarily use the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Bible (WEB), which are in the public domain. Other translations may be subject to copyright and used under license.

6.3 Guided Scripture-Generated Content

Content generated by Guided Scripture (Bible interpretations, journeys, lessons, coloring pages) is created with third-party AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI and is provided for educational purposes. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete. While we strive for theological accuracy, it should be reviewed by qualified teachers and pastors, and it does not replace your church, pastor, counselor, doctor, or emergency services. When you use these features, the text you submit is sent to those AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless My Bible Journey and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time in the mobile app (You → Account → Delete account), at https://mybiblejourney.co/data-deletion, or by contacting support. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription; cancel it separately as described in Section 4.3.

10.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Harmful behavior toward other users
• Non-payment of subscription fees

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. We may delete your account and content. Some provisions of these terms survive termination, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and My Bible Journey regarding the use of the App.
