6. Children's Privacy

My Bible Journey is intended for users aged 13 and over. Children under 13 cannot create an account for themselves — the age options offered at sign-up begin at 13. A parent or guardian may create a child profile for a younger child from within Family Management, which is how we obtain verifiable parental consent under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

For accounts marked as a child, we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we never show advertisements, and we never use their information for personalized advertising. Accounts marked as a teen receive only non-personalized advertisements. A parent can review, change, or delete a child profile and its data at any time from Family Management.

If you believe a child has given us personal information without a parent's involvement, contact us and we will delete it.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly in the mobile app:

1. Open the Bible Journey app
2. Go to Profile/Settings
3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
4. Confirm your decision

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.

9. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account through the app, all your personal information and associated data are permanently deleted immediately. This includes your profile, search queries, community contributions, and subscription information. This action cannot be undone.

We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes, but this data cannot be linked back to you. We may also retain data if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention), but such data will be minimal and retained only as long as legally necessary.
